About
Prayer for Words is my attempt to wrestle with the human experience through words and story. It is born out of N. Scott Momaday's poem of the same name that covers three things I am immensely interested and invested in: theology, literature, and indigenous peoples. I had thought of splitting up each topic, giving each its own blog, but that seemed like too much work. I am a writer and a procrastinator, ultimately too lazy and inept to juggle several things at once. Read a more detailed introduction here.
My name is Steve Dragswolf. I am Hidatsa and Arikara from the Three Affiliated tribes of North Dakota, otherwise known as the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation. Learn a bit more about me by reading “Are You An Indian?”
Definitively anti-social, so I'm not active on any social media.
